I know it was a different era, but to think the likes of Jackie Stewart were derided for their efforts to improve safety. And people still believe motor racing needs an element of danger?!

Same as first link but I suspect you were meaning to link to the N'ring vid? If so I am happy to say I am sure the driver there survived. Sadly his underpants were beyond help.
