looking for a way in to the industry

Im currently almost 16 just finishing school aswell as a part time college course and i am looking for a way into the motorsport industry. I was wondering if anyone knows of any teams based in and arround hertfordshire im up for anything, all types of motorsport racing, I just need somewere to start like anyone else. if you know of anything let me know

What do you actually want to do 'in the industry,' engineer, mechanic, PR, marketing, driving the trucks, standing in front of the car with a tight t-shirt and a big sign?

i was looking more to be in the garage working on the car pre race and pit crew so mechanic/engineer

So get the autosport business directory and phone up race teams offering yourself to them, unpaid, to be the general dogsbody over the summer.


If you're lucky you'll get to spanner on the cars after a while, but be prepared to wash wheels and polish bodywork for the summer.




Racing is not glamorous, it's hard graft. Go in to it with that attitude and you'll do ok.
