Went to Bedford autodrome in the Dax to have a go at the how fast comp,£99 for one hour practice then one warm up lap then two time flying laps, what a great way to have a go at a bit of motorsport with out spending loads of money. They also have a leaderboard were they log all the times, toping the leaderboard is
Roger Green from EVO mag in a Radical SR3 SL with a time of 1 16.5sec. I did a 1.16.9 must try a bit harder to get a pistonheader on top!!! here is a link to a on board vid and the LEADERBOARD.

Radical are toy cars though, surely don't count. You have to be a knobber to drive these (be seen in one) on the road wink

Man that looks quick and bloody good fun, what power has it got and I take it it's on slicks? Also that sounds like a really sorted flat shift what system are you running there?

Power depends on boost but up to 500bhp, i use a f88 ecu from Life Racing for the bip and flat shift, and it was on slicks.

In all fairness I would expect the SR3 to annihilate the Dax, it seems clear from the times that it wasn't being driven properly, that is no slight on your driving ability, but the SR3 should be a faster car, I watched the video, not bad, not too many mistakes, I would just suggest being a bit kinder to the steering wheel, little less agressive, smother on the the throttle, I have never driven Bedford though so can't really comment too much smile

scratchchin ... I don't think I'd want my name on the leaderboard then ... for fear of encountering difficulties when renewing my licence.

I contacted MSV to ask if they would allow open wheels cars and they said no. It's a bit of a shame as Bedford is not at all far from me. Perhaps if more people showed an interest they could be persuaded otherwise?
