As much as I'd like Button to get a 2nd, hard to see past Vettel and Redbull to be honest. I'm just hoping for a much tighter race. Last year was Ok in that regard, as the following pack were still pretty tight for runners up spot, but I think most would like a tight fight, (unless it is Button, in which case I hope he runs away with it! <fingers crossed>)

Im not a fan of his by any means but I still think he has the ability to outperform the machinery he's given, so even if the Fezza is snapping at the heals of Red Bull/Mclaren etc I can see him being a consistent threat throughout.

This is where I am - he's too flawless in qualifying for the other two to have much of a look-in unless they're in at least equal machinery (at which point it will be interesting to see Hammy's raw pace against Button's ability to extract the best from an sub-optimal setup)..That said, McLaren have played catch up from a bad place the last couple of seasons and arguably had the better car towards the end of 2011 - hard to tell much from testing so far, but they're not looking to be in the mess they have been in recent times, and maybe the new 'nose' regs have favoured them in terms of chassis development!
I'm not discounting Alonso either as he's certainly up to the job, but Ferrari don't seem to be impressing right now!

Way, way to early to be making any predictions. But, testing so far seems to say, with lots of reading between the lines, Chinese whispers, etc that:
1) McLaren have had they're best off season since the new regs were introduced in 2009 and have a good solid, reliable base car to build from, and they are very good at building speed throughout the season.
2) Red Bull appear to have been badly hurt by the loss of the EBD and are apparently struggling with understeer. Expect this to be history by the first race and they will be on the pace.
3) Ferrari appear to have produce a complete munter... both in looks and handling, although when they do hit the sweet spot, appears to have the pace.
4) Mercedes, who knows no new car yet...
5) Lotus (nee Renault) *very* fast out of the box.

I think Buttons overwhelming strength over Hamilton last year was his ability to chase someone down without completely burning out his own set of tyres.
Hamilton would catch people quickly enough, then waste a lot of tyre energy making unnecessary lunges, only to then have to give up any advantage back in the pitts for new rubber.
JB (despite obviously being very quick) has always taken a much more measured approach - offering a little more mechanical sympathy to the machinery he's working with.
I have no doubt that Red Bull will be the outstanding overall package again this year, its going to be catch-up for everyone else!

How do you know all this after one fairly meaningless test?
