Who now has the ex-Clive Greenhalgh Tuscan?
Discussion
Do any of you new, young and vital (all the things I no longer am!) Tuscan racers know what happened to the Tuscan racer of Clive Greenhalgh? It was painted in German Fire Engine red. In other words, dayglo orange/red. It was always No. 22.
I have added a couple of odd pics of the car (I hope you can see the pics!).

May well be the same car.
Clive owned Team Central (TVR) and Fluxie raced for them in the early 90s taking the Crown.
That Maybe my Tub. They used several and I have one. Lightweights at the time, but they got lighter!
Clive has now retired to Spain and owns Guadix Circuit.
I can find out what happened to that car, I know the guys that ran it.
They became Dulfords, sadly now no more but something IS coming from them.

Thanks guys any and all information gratefully received.
I was part of Clive's team for a while (I have known him for over 30 years!). He owned Cannock Automobiles for many years, dealing in used cars; Clive tended to trade in high-end exotica. He bought Team Central after Cannock Automobiles was sold.
Clive had raced in a wide variety of motorsport categories, from Ferrari (he won the Ferrari Challenge in the 1980's) to Fiestas and Tuscans, with a season or two of MX5 racing too. A very talented driver. Yes, his driver was Ian Flux.

Ah right well maybe it is my one then... It was run by team central. Raced by Flux under the number 22, then the following year by Bobby VR under number 23. I have an account of its full history somewhere and come to think of it, when I spoke to Fluxie about it, he did mention someone who owned a race circuit being the person to ask so that's probably him.
Since Team Central ran the car, it went on to be raced for one more year by a privateer (forget his name) and then was used as a training car for Amander Whitaker for a year (around 1998) when it was bought by a Swedish race team called Backa Event. They campaigned the car very successfully for around 9 years in the Nordic Supercar series along with another car owned by a privateer but run also by the team (this car is now in Oz).
During this time the team developed the car significantly, adding a hard top, removable one piece widened rear end, flat floor, aero, sequential box and a host of other modifications. The team stopped racing the car around 2007 after disassembling it completely for a total rebuild. I bought the car in 2009 in pieces and brought it back to the UK. I've been reassembling it since, and its a fair way to being finished, though I've been waiting a long time for an engine to go in it. It will reappear at some point soon hopefully with a 4.7AJP

Oh, wow 450Nick. These forums are superb for finding information. Thank you all so much for giving your time and information.
Clive now owns and operates Guadix Circuit in Spain. Sadly his son Mike, who was an instructor at the circuit (and a fine racing driver himself), passed away in a fire a week or two back. When we lose one of our own, we all feel the pain. I hope everyone on the TVR side of the forum would like to join me in expressing our sincere condolences to Clive, his wife Doa and the family at this incredibly awful time. Rest easy Mike. Heaven just got faster!!
I know Clive will enjoy reading these results - he had fond memories of his Tuscan. Except for the time when the Tuscans were racing at Donington and Clive had all his sponsors present. Clive put the car on pole then at the start he was pulling away towards Redgate when someone (who shall remain nameless - but there is a video on You Tube!) outbraked themselves, whacked Clive's car from behind and Clive ended his race against the fence at Redgate.
Tip: When a driver returns to the paddock after that happens, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING, let alone be sympathetic!!! Lesson learned? Good!
Thanks again chaps.

No problem at all, PM me if you would like any more information or to chat on the phone some time. I'm away on business on the moment but back in the UK next week probably. I'd love to have a chat to Clive at some point, or maybe even take the Tuscan down to Spain at some point!

450Nick - any chance of a pic or two? I drove the old tub a couple of times, but just on test days as I wasn't registered for the championship due to my potential sponsor deciding that football was a better gamble (fools!!).
I expect the car now, just like the proverbial broom, is as original - it's just had 3 new heads and a new handle (are they still known as broom 'stales'?)! All old racers had different panels, replaced engines, new chassis due to damage etc. It'd be nice to see it though.
I now own three Alpine-Renault A310's and all have an interesting history. One I have used to recreate the A310 that raced at Le Mans in 1977; I use it now but usually as a guest competitor at various track events in France (my wife and I live and work in Germany and France). One is an ex-DeLorean Motor Company experimental vehicle and my third (actually the first I bought) was found on a London street with flat tyres as its previous owner didn't like it much!
Take a look at them on my website at: www.a310alpine.com

I'm working abroad at the moment but I'll send you some older pictures when I'm home in a few days if you PM me your email address! It's not quite like trig's broom, a lot's been changed! Hopefully for the better though we shall see...!
Here's a few recent ones though from my photobucket account:
