Didn't know you needed planning permission to alter a circuit. What's it got do with them..? It's not as though a visible structure is involved.

Not sure why they have to Change the best part of the Track,
The money would be better spent having the full track more accessable.

Paddock Hill bend and Clearways/Clarke are far more challenging imho - I agree with Graham. biggrin

I assume the intention will be to promote overtaking into that corner, which is downhill and coming towards the main grandstand.

More likely to promote contact, which is what seems to bring in the crowds. God knows what the BTCC lot will be like there!

Sorry only gave it a quick read and thought it was Paddock Hill bend, still think it would be better to open the whole track than change the indy one.

JP has a limit on the number of events that can use the full GP circuit due to noise restrictions.shoot

I'm not sure who was there first, the circuit or the houses but my personal take on it is if you dont like the noise from a racing circuit MOVE! The stripey curbs are a bit of tell tale sign that it aint a cul de sac in there. Rant over.

I too love the GP circuit and will be doing loads of photo and marshaling there this year.

Not sure about the changes to Graham Hill, as a marshall I have seen a lot of bad coming togethers there and it is a huge dead space of open grass to cover to get to a stricken car. It will definately improve the spectator bit though especially if they take area below the South Bank car park down further into the corner and would give good views of the corner from the granstand at Paddock.
