Button comes from Frome which is only 10 miles or so from here. I said to my mates "he's quicker than that car" for many years, and I'm glad I was proved right. McLaren should get extra points for having a pretty car anyway.
Frome's my home town.
Button's odds are far too short now. It's a real shame.
The first half of last year the odds were set so that you could just steal from the bookies. It changed after Canada.
What stands out to you in that list MGJohn?

If you want good odds on Button, they may never appear again as his true form is at last revealed since getting his hands on decent kit.
However, if he makes a poor start to the season, poor qualifying and down the field in a race or two, his odds will lengthen and then might be the time to have your bet as that will not be the true form of the driver/car combination based on his performances the past few seasons.
That could come unstuck if he makes a good start as he did in 2009 when his poor odds now will become even less attractive.
Some of the 2012 Season Match Bets with various drivers could be attractive.
Will Schumacher finish in front of his younger team mate come season end? Bookies odds show they and their punters do not think he will. Same with Hamilton and Button. The younger driver again at shorter odds to beat his team mate this season overall. He didn't last year and if that form continues ...
My advice now at this late stage is to wait. Bide your time and if you see value, go for it. It's often there. The skill is in spotting the value.
You pays your money ...
Roll on ... not long now...
With a few days left now before the OFF, here's a gentle word of warning for those that like to have a bet now and again. Some of you may already be aware of this so I post this for the benefit with those who may be having a few quid on their favourite driver or teams for the first time.
This scenario has happened to me twice during the past few years and has cost me a lost few quid.
I had prepared a multiple bet on several Premiership matches and for good measure, included a F1 bet in the mix. Having done that, my family were giving me the hurry up as we were running a bit late so after a quick glance at my selections and bets, I pressed the BET NOW button and then assumed quite wrongly my bet would be placed. I then closed down my laptop on standby and we went out. When I fired it up again there was a notice informing me of a few changes of odds with my selections which I was invited to accept. All too late now of course. Had I not been so hasty I would have had time to accept those changes as they were very slight.
Whilst out I was listening to the results and five of my six selections won so I was mentally counting my winnings, a nice few hundred quid for modest outlay.
Imagine my disappointment on discovering that my bets had not been accepted.
Keep 'em peeled at all times ... and above all, be lucky ...
