Was wondering this morning that as I'll not always have access to Sky coverage if it would be a good idea to have a seperate thread for those watching the highlights..

Seems like a good way for those not watching live to discuss as they are watching it.

Thoughts?

Unfortunately there would be too much of an opportunity to Troll. For the viewers who watched the race live.

Managed to find a foreign stream of the BBC coverage including DC and BE. They seem to be settling in very well and Mr Anderson is doing a pretty good job as well.... can't wait for the time when we can watch BBC live!

Enjoying watching the highlights. I have just one major gripe (which has always been the same with f1 highlights) : they always cut most of the post race celebrations ie. The drivers getting out if the cars and all the pre podium stuff. Also they cut most of the actual podium. Find it really frustrating, especially as they spend 30 min after the race pointlessly re-playing the race action that I have just bloody watched!

Other than that- thumbs up.

TBH one of the new-found benefits I've discovered with the delayed coverage on the BBC is that I no longer have the desire to have the PH GP thread open as, IMHO, the amount of abusive, short-sighted, absolute cack posted in them over the past year has left a sour taste in my mouth (this despite there being plenty of good/constructive comments/tit-bits/discussion).

They always end up in one group of contributors slagging off either the other contributors or the drivers themselves in that sterotypical keyboard-warrior way. I'm not afraid to say that once or twice last year I couldn't bite my tongue any longer and had an argy-bargy with a few but seeing the same st posted each race weekend is really depressing. I'm all for debate, but I'm fed up of threads full of people saying "Fred to get punted off/Fingers to crash out corner 1/Anyone but team X shouldn't be allowed to race/should be disqualified/how dare a mid-field team be on the same piece of racetrack as the front runners etc etc", Or, like in today's thread (which I've only just read) several people going on about how dare they suspend the race due to weather?! There hasn't been a fatality in F1 for quite some time and there is a reason for that.

So as others said about I think a seperate thread would just be left open to trolling and it would probably just fall into the same pit-falls as the live thread.
