How good would F1 be at Leguna Seca ???

Why doesn't Bernie give us this track for a USA race imagine current F1 cars dealing with the corkscrew?
Would be a visual epic.

I think this was considered at one stage but the lap is too short (probably one of a thousand reasons. But I think a lap would be about a minute in an F1 car.

Personally I'd love to see it. Let them do 100 laps if necessary

It's a very technical track sort the men from the boys

Prototypes are doing it in 1:21 seconds. Not sure what an F1 could do it in any track they currently share?

Isn't it a touch small for 24 F1 cars? Both in length and width of track.

From wiki - The all-time unofficial lap record around the current configuration is 1 minute, 5.880 seconds, set on March 10, 2007 by Sébastien Bourdais in a Panoz DP01 Champ Car.

I'd imagine F1 cars could be even quicker.

Traffic could be an issue, but I'd say if someone shoved enough money into Bernie's pocket it would happen.

For the money that this new circuit is costing, they could have moved the railway line that is keeping Road America from hosting F1.


Now that is a decent circuit.

Got to say I've found from a spectators (tv coverage) good racing and actually playing the tracks Leguna Seca is notably better IMHO

It's certainly got some character, has Road America, but some sections might be a little too quick for F1 - if cars were to touch in some of the kinks then the accident would last for hours!

They would need to increase the run off at the corkscrew as well. You can tell them to MTFU all you like, but it doesn't change the fact

Would be crazy if a grid of proper f1 drivers were racing though.

2004 on slicks might be interesting to drive.
