It's taken the mechanics 2 years but this is the interesting result.

Interesting video here from Sauber F1, what shell we do, split an F1 car right down the middle. Nice. Also this pic from instagram I thought was interesting.

Thanks, I like that, it's brilliant.

They should make a series of these videos because it'd take hours and hours just to explain the basics of a Formula 1 car to an enthusiast.

I'd definitely like to see more of that.

That is simply fantastic. Never realised how much higher their legs are than their bums.

BMW could of won the world championship with that car in 08.
Should of split the 2009 dog in half instead..

Still.. it's interesting to see how the drivers position themselves.

Seeing those baffles in the fuel tank (stops surging and keeps fuel as low as possible), can now understand why they occasionally get fuel pick-up problems as possibly fuel gets trapped where it shouldn't

It must play havoc with their circulation.

Great find

Now they need to stick in formaldahide and call it art.

Really cool! Reminds me of the MGB at the Gaydon museum. I'd love to have a good nose around that.

If an untidy bedroom can be art then there's certainly no reason this can't be.

if you ever get chance to visit the Mercades F1 team - in the wind tunnel building is their 'museum' which includes an exploded Honda F1 car - all the parts hung by wires.

Is no-one else slightly terrified by the way that the guy presenting it, with his vice-like grip and razor fingernails, manages to perfectly dissect an apple into two equal halves with his bare hands?
