Tuscan wanted for collection!
Discussion
Hi
I am wanting to buy a Tuscan racer to add to my collection of TVR's
This collection is my hobby and it's trying to show important/milestone's in TVR history for the Peter Wheeler era!
I though I had a car sorted but the man let me down. So has anybody got one for sale, it will not be raced just shown as part of my display I have at various events around the country during the year. I want a unmolested car if possable. A big ask I know! The car I was let down on at the weekend was a umolested car, which has pissed me off as I am also due to a bad accident last year not able to do a full restoration at present!
Can anybody help!

Andy hi, how are you doing I hope your recovery is on track.
It's a real pity that your not able to do a restoration currently as I'm sure it would be perfect, much better than any of the racers actually are, and almost certainly your best chance of getting a car of the standard you want.
There are quite a few people looking for cars to race at the moment do they are getting snapped up quite quickly.
Are you looking for a early 16" rover car or a later 18" ajp or the mid point 18" rover?
There are quite a few detail changes over the years too like full and half height passenger doors, splitters and brakes

Time to come out of the woodwork perhaps:
I have the ACT-converted road legal Tuscan 2-seater (now minus engine and gearbox and on SORN) as well as an ex-CDL 2-seater conversion (again, no engine/gearbox, and needing work).
I've had them both for quite a number of years now and am not sure I will ever get round to sorting them out...but then they are not taking up critical space.
Neither are perfect.
If anyone is interested, then PM me. (not a fire sale by any means, but also not looking to recoup their cost).

If it is a show car you are after then you might want to look at the Gulf coloured car Mr Reid has just finished for Mr Fischer!
The car was on display at Str8six Open day and can be seen on John website and really is a pretty thing with no expense spared on a full restoration
This car would suit a collection allot better as it's immaculate and almost to good to race in anger! [unless money was no obstacle]
As opposed to the car i just purchased which is begging to be raced with its old mates, a job i intend to do my best at!
The more Tuscans being raced in the challenge the better in my opinion

Mikes tuscan is going to look soooo much better once its been on track and has a couple of scuffs and stone chips..

Hi
Thanks for all your comments!
They car I am looking for is one which is mechanaly sound and hopefully in good condition. Normally I would do a full restoration, but I can't see me being able to do that for a couple of years as it will take that long to recover from my accident. So I want one which can be shown for a while till I can do a full resto.
I know some people think they should be just for racing, that's true but at least one needs to be restored and preserved for posterity before you lot wreck them all.
Have fun racing!
Andy

Hi
Well it will upset some of you but I have located a Tuscan racer to add to my collection. When I started this post I had the offer of two cars, one was still racing and another Historical car which has been in store for a number of years. I have decided to purchase the historical car especially at the other car was crashed and had a mechanical brake down the last time it raced!
Thanks for all the comments etc.
By doing it the way I have, I am at least preserving and showing a historcal car. Plus a good race car may still be out there racing!
