I was waving my hands in frustration when their jack cocked up, but it looks like McLaren has finally mastered the pitstop game.

2.32 seconds! I'd probably take 100 times as long to change one tyre on my car. biggrin

100 times longer is still less than 4 minutes - even that'd be good going. thumbup

Did they manage to get all 4 wheels on in that time? wink

I bet LH and JB would rather they took another secord or two every time but also got it right every time.

oh dear. Lewis can kiss goodbye to any title hopes he might have been clinging ontofrown

Have we had a race yet this year where they haven't had at least a semi bungled pit stop? And yet they don't think there's a fundamental issue? Is someone keeping a tally? I'm sure the other top teams may have an issue 2-3 stops a year.

Someone remind mclaren the old adage: To finish first, first you have to finish. No prizes get handed out for being the fasted till you fuffed it up.

So when you read the article it was oporator or driver error as the jack failed because the car hit it.

Indeed. No point in silly quick stops if every other one is bunggled. Save .3secs on one stop and lose 4 seconds the next.

When I read the title I thought McLaren had broken the record for most botched pitstops in a year...
