The thought popped into my head while posting this a second ago in Biker Banter about Mugello:
"Much as it's shaping up to be awesome tomorrow, and the weather is lovely etc etc....f
k ME it's expensive out here!
Grandstand tickets for today only at Arrabiata: £65 a pop
Same tickets for tomorrow: £155 a pop
Bottle of water from the only kiosk thing within 1/2 mile radius: £4
Can of Fanta from same place: £5. FOR A SODDING 330ML CAN?!?!?!?!
Won't be coming here again!"
I thought about the prices Silverstone charge for the different kinds of tickets they sell for the MotoGP, and the price of the burgers/drinks etc etc, and came to the conclusion that they're all ridiculously over-priced. Or is it just me?
I'm quite happy for companies to make a profit, but it's not like you have a choice to watch your home MotoGP or F1 race at a different circuit is it?
So, can anyone recommend any circuits, anywhere, that do have reasonable prices, from tickets to food etc?

The problem is a lot fo the circuits only make money from concessions and tickets. The thing that annoys me about Mugello though? it's owned by Ferrari yet they still charge huge amounts.
In 2004 I went to Assen for the MotoGP (and Rossi passed Gibernau right in front of us!) with two friends and after working out how much we all spent I looked up prices to the British F1. For the same price we spent flying to Amsterdam, hiring a car, 3 day tickets to the circuit (gen access only, no grandstand) and a night at a very swish hotel in Amsterdam on the Sunday night it would have got us a raceday ticket to Silverstone. That's not including travel, food, camping/B&B or anything.
