F1 on the PS3 with BBC Sport App

I read in Auto Express last night that the new BBC Sport app on the PS3 will be showing ALL F1 races LIVE this year. Is that true? Can't vouch for it now we have a months break, but for those without Sky Sports, that would be very handy to know.

Anyone tried it?

I'd be very surprised if that's that's true.

BBC Sport app? There's the BBC iPlayer, can you even download individual apps for the PS?

That's what I wondered when I read it at midnight, so went downstairs to have a look and indeed you can. It's under the 'Channels' icon, where you can download the ITV Player, 4OD Player, etc., there's one for BBC Sport.

Seemed to have 3 channels - Olympics, F1 and something else. F1 channel had interviews, highlights all available albeit short clips. Few screen shots off the TV

No need for a PS3 if your TV has internet connectivity. I noticed a BBC Sport app had appeared but didn't pay much attention to it but I've just looked and it's exactly the same as the screen shots posted above. Although whether they'll show live races remains to be seen; I don't think they will.
