Low grip surface - turns in with no aero downforce and looses the back.
From another angle the corner looks incredible tight and he's perhaps only doing 30-40mph. Still he look a complete knob and a s
t load of damage.
Still Pastor managed to blame Hamilton for it

FIA ban McClaren for rest of season and £10million fine .....
I'd hate to be in Frank's shoes this year. He's got one driver that is only occassionally fast enough and one driver who is fast enough but wouldn't know consistancy or level-headedness if they bit him in the bum. And just to make things that little bit harder, the inconsistant one is bringing the backing of pretty much an entire country which is making this year's car fast.
Then to further complicate things there's a third driver who would quite possibly do a better job than the two race drivers but doesn't bring as much money to the table.
Mr Williams's hands are tied. He can't fire Maldonado because that's like shooting your bank manager, and that will just lead to another year like 2011.
But then again you'd have to be some kind of super-idiot to crash a car during an exhibition event. Maybe this cloud does have a silver lining, perhaps it will encourage some sponsors to pay extra NOT to have Pastor in the car next year.
Fingers crossed.

Bellend.
Is this aimed at Maldonardo, Frank Williams or the poster above as you did this in the other post on this subject and i'm confused as its not clear! My word - open season on PM. Just wonder how many keyboard warriors loftily proclaiming him a nob , bellend and worse could manage to win a GP.Or maybe even last 3 laps in an F1 car. PM put in a quite brillinat drive back in May - he may be - to say the least- inconsistent, mercurial , volatile etc but he did win a grand prix in a car which is far from best of field. Which is more than some Williams drivers ever did, including the universally admired (and rightly so ) Zanardi.

Irrelevant to a degree. The point people are trying to make, not very eloquently i would agree, is that he doesnt learn. He has had numerous 'incidents' this year, none of which have been his fault according to him (sounds rather like Neal M from the BTCC), so he knows that people will be watching his every move.
The fact that he binned the car on only the 2nd lap on a dusty, bumpy & quite tight circuit shows he hasnt learned anything from his past incidents.
How many other current F1 are as unpopular as Maldonado & how many other drivers have binned their cars during demo runs whilst the F1 calender is on 'holiday'?
None as far as i know. Had they done so then the footage would, as with this idiot, be plastered all over YouTube.
He might have put in a 'brilliant' drive at Monaco however let us not forget that he deliberately drove over the front of the Sauber of Perez during qualifying!
Has anyone else done that this season? Or has anyone else driven a former world champion into the wall like Maldonado did to Hamilton?
Err. No. They havent.
And there are many people on PH who have driven F1 cars & high performance cars on a regular basis so, in answer to your question 'have many keyboard warriors etc etc' the answer is quite a few.
I know, for example, that i can do exactly that & i have done exactly that. At speed for a couple of long sessions, in someone else's F1 cars, one of which was a world championship winning chassis.
Did i bin either of them or break either of them? No.
Because i did what Maldonado clearly didnt do - i drove within my limits & i used my common sense. Which he, on the day in question, failed to do.
I'm not saying that any of us could win a GP because we dont know do we?
The point is he treks all the way home with an F1 plus crew in tow, does just 2 laps & bins the car...
Therefore, imo, bellend!!!!
And if Button, Hamilton, Alonoso et al did the same thing then yes they would also be idiots. Not bellends because it would be a rare occurence but idiots just the same.
He was on a demo run for his 'fans' so he owed it to them to complete his run without incident & not to end the session after just 2 laps.

What and when?Did i bin either of them or break either of them? No.

Not saying your lying just interested.
JPS Lotus 92, chassis no 5. The car now owned by Roger Wilis (Wills?) which currently carries race no 15 although it should carry no 12 as it is an ex Nigel Mansell chassis used by him in 1983 & acquired for the Patrick Collection in, I think, 1985.
I will have to venture into the loft though to get out my old photo's & the paperwork that I acquired when I worked there.
BRM P578, the ex Graham HIll 1962 world championship winning 'stack pipe' car.
The Lotus was purchased direct from the factory, by Nigel, for the Patrick Collection & the BRM was purchased by us from the auction of the BRM cars way back in 1981 if my memory serves me correctly.
Drove them on the Silverstone GP circuit a couple of times in the mid 80's for some fun & to give the cars, plus some of our rally cars & our Group A Touring cars, a run out on a circuit.
I remember that the only way we could start the BRM to fire up was to tow it behind a truck & literally bump start it!!!
The Lotus on the other hand was simple as it was with F1 cars In those days - just plug in the starter at the back of the car, finger in the air & away she went!
