How many Tuscan racers were built ?
Discussion
As per the title really, anybody know how many Tuscans were made ? To comply with some class rules I would like to argue that there were more than 100 and they were “available through the normal commercial channels” With grids of around 30 cars and the attrition rate during races it is probably not an unreasonable number. Before the factory closed I seem to remember someone telling me it was around 125 in total but I have not so far been able to find a number published anywhere.
John Reid is the man that would know exactly, www.readmanracing.co.uk but hes on holiday at the moment back in a week or so.
You could certainly rock up to the factory and buy one, although the AJP race engines were leased.
There were at least 2 complete ajp cars sold outright to hill climbers though.
edited to add, with it being TVR a doubt there were much in the way of records, and they have almost certainly been lost now. SO JR is probably the only authority who could confirm or deny it one way or another :cough:
