Heads up GP3 finale could be a cracker

Abt has to win from 8th and appears to be the fastest guy in a straight line. Evans has to finish 8th, from the very back of the grid. Whoever achieves will win the title. Pressure all round.

The race on Sat was great as well. F1 should take a look at what low over-car downforce does for racing especially at Monza, and no DRS in sight.

Indeed - it was a brilliant race.

GP2 and GP3 have been excellent this year, am actually overdosing on racing what with the 5 practice sessions 3 qualifying sessions and 5 races per F1 weekend.

I watched it - I just ignore this section of PH over F1 weekends as it's mostly just arguing.

GP2/3 is fantastic - actually more enjoyable than F1. Should get better coverage!

GP2 next time out is going to be close too. Can't wait!

Truly awesome race. Personally I didn't care who won the championship, but it didn't actually matter. Edge of the seat stuff evey lap. Better than BTCC, although I watch it all regardless.

Glad to see there are some proper race fans around.

Haven't seen much GP2/3 at all this year, although I have been enjoying AutoGP

Poor Abt but what a race! I am mostly underwhelmed by GP3 - the cars sound dreadful but the racing is OK.

GP2 on the other hand is fantastic. At Spa last weekend while the F1 boys sat in their garages doing nothing, the GP2 guys got out there and put on a show for those of us who'd been stood in the rain all day getting soggy. The cars sound fantastic, very similar to the DFV, they slide and they spit flames. Perfect!

I stood on the inside of the first Lesmo on Friday - utterly compelling.

finally got to catch up with all the F1/GP2/GP3 practice / quali and races from last weekend.
What a cracker of a finale and race that was. Not a fan of Evans - but he's been consistent apart from this last weekend. It will be interesting to see if he can make it into GP2

Yeah I watched it again today.

Evans drove a storming race until his puncture. Last to 8th, breifly, in what, 8 laps.

And Abt wasn't exactly taking it easy. 8th to 1st in 6 laps?

I counted the championship changing hands 7 times in that race and it was only 16 laps long!

Makes me think many series would be better for spectators if every race weekend was a series of 6 races held in like a mini-championship, with the end results of the mini championship going toward the actual driver championship...

GP2 and GP3 and generally more entertaining than F1
I think F1 races are too long sometimes - maybe the max length should be 1.5 hrs
