T5 gearbox

Hi

We are slowly getting to know the Green mean machine.

The thing we have realised is, it jumps out of gear, mainly reverse etc. I was informed it's a standard T5 gearbox. Can anybody confirm this and has anybody got a good used one for sale! If not we will have the current one rebuilt. I still will do that even if I find a replacment box for sensable money!

I'm looking for a spare one too so if you find anymore than 1 please give me a shout. Not bothered if the syncro's are knackered I'll just get it rebuilt. Any Griff / cerb box will fit as I understand it.

I know I was initially sceptical about you getting a Tuscan to show / preserve but I have since seen some of your other posts and now realise that what you are doing is a good thing

I thought he was joking but I had to ask!

We took the car to a show today and she drove OK (The Bishop Srortford Motor Show) If we don't have a problem tomorrow when we back loaded it, we will remove it next month and get it rebuilt at my local gearbox man in St Neots!
