We'll be there Friday afternoon, but im getting my testing in tomorrow with a Future Classics race , im not brave enough to test with those Funcups hehe.

ETA, they're not that bad Billy, but they can pull some erratic moves while you're overtaking , i think it depends on which shared driver is behind the wheel... a car that is well drivern on one session can be a bit more wayward the next time you see it if the driver has changed..
When you're appproaching - assume nothing biggrin

Bear in mind the following with fun cup cars. They only have 120bhp and weigh a minimum of 760kg without the driver. Ie they are very quick through the corners and have half the stopping distance of GT cars but have bugger all straight line speed!!!. TVR's on the other hand are ballastic in a straight line and take much further to stop!!. One last thing fun cup cars cannot see anything directly behind them as they do not have a rear view mirror (the rear bulkhead is the fire wall) only wing mirrors so when you get behind them go to ONE SIDE so they can see you in their wing mirror and everything should be ok. All fun cup cars will have at least 2 drivers but more likely 3 drivers for oulton as its a 4 hour race.

Good luck everybody and enjoy!!!! it

Good finish Darren. Hope you enjoyed racing with the CSCC bunch. Some suprisingly quick cars out there, but a great mix smile

Thanks John.
Fluffed the start, mangaged enough stationary wheel spin to drop from fifth to about 15th by Cascades and i lost a lot of timing faffing in the pit stop, but it was great to actually race the RV8 in the Series that we intended it for.
On a set of new ,soft R888 (instead of the years old hard compound Direzza's we used)i reckon it could get us on the podium next season.
My main focus is still DTEC next season with the 2 seater , but assuming im not bankrupt, i defiantely intend to have another round or two of CSCC.
What are you planning ?

I'll race with CSCC next year with the M unless some new more exciting thing comes along. I was quite chuffed with the way it performed last year and looking foward to being a little quicker next year, but not sure I'll be on the same lap as any race Tuscans LOL. I still haven't written off doing a round or so with TC..but I would need some class C cars to race against smile

Well done for flying the flag.

Class C John? From our last conversation it sounded like you had developed the car way beyond class C

Nice to hear from you again John - I too plan to be out with the Griff in Future Classics next year, though my son will pedal it in DTEC.

Change of plan Dave...couldnt get to grips with the 13k engine build.

Diet for me and the car, essential maintenance, and some making prettier smile
