New Jersey GP is off

Not really a massive suprise, however Le Mans had its date changed to suit NJ which effected quite a few people. Pretty annoyed I can't get to Le Mans next year because the date was changed for no reason.

Well I didn't see that coming - it will not place in 2013 due to construction problems & a lack of funding.

What a surprise. Where next for the circus I wonder? A proper circuit? Watkins Glen? Wishful thinking I know but wouldn't that be a good place to go back to?

Oh well. Let's just await the farcical announcement from Bernie the clown!

Ecclestone has said the London GP would require government funding, I think that is unlikely as politicians tend to listen to the minority with the loudest voices, which are usually voices of complaint from the bullying green activists who think the car is the work of the devil and racing cars even worse. - http://www.crash.net/f1/news/185203/1/ecclestone_n...

With the cost of hosting a GP upwards of £6 million per race to CVC and Bernie only governments can afford races these days and with Greece, Thailand, Bulgaria and who knows where else wants to 'showcase' their corruptness via F1. Korea is a disaster, Turkey, India, China too how long will it be before the Teams take a stand and start demanding more say in the calendar. The travel demands on the teams are brutal as is the cost for hotels, flights etc.

No - what will happen is that Assad will offer Ecclestone £squillions to stage a GP in downown Aleppo. Bernie will say that sport and politics don't mix and only Webber will have the balls to disagree. The race will be stopped after 35 laps because of smoke from nearby street fighting and Vettel will say 'For sure that's a stroke of luck for all of us at Team Red Bull as no way would my otherwise excellent Pirelli tyres have lasted another 10 laps.
