cscc looks a good option. Was looking at the Mag Sevens but hear the spending is out of control. Open engine formula at the front end

Britcar are launching their new Production Sportscars Series for next year, 30min qualifying, 2 x 45min races in a day, £665 entry fee.

No refueling allowed and a mandatory pitstop for drivers changes. Cars are things like Lotus Production Championship, BRSCC Boxsters, Mk1 and 3 MX5's, Toyota MR2's etc.

Details HERE

There is also our Production Cup Championship, 30min qualifying and 90min races for cars of higher performance like: Seat Supercopa, BMW M3, Ginetta G40, Clio Cup etc. Same entry fee but the running costs will be a bit higher as the cars are faster and there is things like refueling to consider.

That sounds interesting. Any A&D teams on board ?

We joined Production Cup this year and have loved it, we'll be back next year although a move up in class is on the cards for us. The schedule, type of racing and the people in it are just perfect, can't speak highly enough of the series as a way of racing fast cars on great circuits in a proper team environment.

I have PM'd you with a couple of hire suggestions.

Not heard that all but there are 4 other series with class based options to suit all budgets. The series include: Swinging Sixties (for cars from the 1960s), Future Classics (for cars from the 1970s and80s), Tin Tops (for hatchbacks a saloons of all ages to 2 litres) and (new for 2013) Modern Classics (a series for saloons/hatchbacks - over 2 litres - and sports and GTs of any engine capacity.

If you have any questions feel free to drop me a line.

Give me a call if you want to chat about the various series and arrive/drive options, i have been lucky enough to drive in Britcar, Lotus Cup, British GT, Radical, Funcup and various other 2 driver series, all have some great points, will depend on budget and personal preference for type of car.
cheers
Nigel

No but I have friends that have/do. I can't afford to race anything sadly, I just take photos and write about those that do! smile

Hi Woof, if you talk to people like Newbridge Motorsport or TF Motorsport who run Boxsters in the BRSCC Porsche Championship I'm sure they'd be interested in helping out. Alternatively Mike Gorton has a fleet of MX5's that'd be ready for some fun. We have a meeting running to this sort of format at BH on 24th November, Open Sports and GT cars 2 x 45min races, anything is eligible. Drop me a PM or call/email the office on 01252 834377 / admin@britcar24hr.co.uk if you would like more details.
