It was so wonderful seeing the 333SPs in the ISRS back in the late 1990s. Wonderful cars and you've got to credit them - to an extent - with saving sports prototype racing in the aftermath of the demise of Group C.

Glorious machine- remember being in pitlane (God knows how but nobody seem fussed) at Donington when one of these drove by- exquisite and soo much better sounding than current F1 cars

Ome of my favourite cars. I tracked their prices in the hope that they might drop like a stone once they had reached the stage where there was nowhere for them to race...sadly that never happened....

A couple of chaps (Giovanni Lavaggi being one I recall) ended up with Judd GV4 engines in theirs. I remember Tony Southgate commenting at the time that it was a terrific way to halve the value of your lovely car overnight...

My dad has a load of photos of 333SPs from Donington - I think 1998 when Sospiri/Collard were clearing up for JB-Giesse. I'll ask him to send them over when he has a few minutes.

I think you would enjoy the Autosport Nostalgia film shows. Well worth the trip down from Yorks to Herts, especially since we may well see Tony Southgate appear at one next year...

Sounds awesome! PM me some details. I'm up for anything which helps me learn me about motor racing history.
