I can't see the team lasting or being sold really.

I think they will, F1 needs the smaller teams even if it's just to get in the way and cause havoc, or it just becomes a more boring coporate world.
HRT could become the Minardi of the 2010's.
I completely agree, but I don't think that's HRT. HRT could become the Minardi of the 2010's.
Caterham and, to a lesser extent Marussia, have filled the role of loveable underdog rather nicely, I think, while HRT is just a bit of an embarrassment.
It depends on how much money they want for it.
The entry itself is quite valuable IINM, given the costs of entering F1 nowadays, so the team as an entity has value.
A factory all the way out in Spain however is another matter....
I hope they stick around in some form. They're not ridiculously far off the pace of Caterham and Marussia now and too few entries is bad news for a sport. Look at MotoGP.

Isn't Minardi Torro Rosso now?
Yeah, and my secret sordid love affair with them died when they got snaffled up by the monster that is Red Bull.
Mr Kipling you are correct I think, but I think Caterham nee Lotus have captured the imagination and fanbase much better than Marussia nee Virgin nee Manor, which is a shame when you think how established Manor are as a lower tier British team.

Frankly, if it keeps the likes of Chilton out of F1, I hope that's the case.I can't see the team lasting or being sold really.

Spot on as per usual.Realistically all anyone is buying is the entry - the HQ in the middle of nowhere is useless, the cars are worth little, IIRC gearboxes & rear suspension are bought in from Williams ? I wonder what they have in the way of manufacturing capability - autoclaves etc ?
I reckon the best way would be to buy the entry, sub contract car design / construction to the old Toyota factory in Germany (they still do lots of R&D and "special" projects) while you find your feet, assemble your staff etc.
