NIMBYs again at Donington

I'm surprised you can hear the track in Aston:

The track is at the west end of the runway. Like others have said, most of the time the noise is drowned out by the planes at the airport.
I can hear Snetterton from my house on the other side of Attleborough which is a similar distance I'll venture. I can just about hear it on some days. Incidentally only since they put the sound barriers up because of the complaining locals closer to the track. The track is at the west end of the runway. Like others have said, most of the time the noise is drowned out by the planes at the airport.
If I'm out washing the car I can also hear aerobatics planes from Buckenham airfield, motorcross bikes from a local site and trains on the Norwich main line. And that's ignoring the barking dogs, screaming children, lawnmowers, cars on the roads around, etc etc etc.
All of which could be considered annoying in isolation, all of which were entirely predictable when I moved in, all of which are a part of living in civilisation.
I think it was at a public inquiry prior to the re-opening of the Circuit, one of the objectors (on noise grounds) was a “professional objector” who actually lived in Hampshire and was instrumental in getting restrictions placed on Thruxton.

What a bellend.
Reminds of the family who, many years ago, bought a house in Marston Green, Solihull that was directly under the flight for Birmingham Airport.
The family tried to sue the estate agents who sold them the house for failing to mention the proximity of the airport when he showed them around the house......
From the back garden the runway was clearly visible as was the main terminal!
They lost, obviously. So then they tried to slap a noise abatement order on the airport.... That failed as well.
The house was built 20 years after the original airport terminal was built & the family who bought the house & then complained lived in Garretts Green, which is also under the flight path, so how they failed to suss out where the airport was situated was beyond anyone's comprehension however they insisted that they didn't know that the airport was situated where it was....
Makes me wonder how these dumb asses get themselves out of bed in the morning.
