Nortberg Haug to leave Mercedes
Discussion
Autosport and BBC reporting he's leaving at the end of 2012.

60 seems a little early to retire. I wonder if he has had the bullet for the F1 team failing to deliver.

I thought Norbert WAS Mercedes Motorsport...
He seems like a decent guy though. Best of luck to him.
That is exactly how I thought of him. I smell trouble ahead if the revised outfit does not perform well next year.He seems like a decent guy though. Best of luck to him.
I do not think that having Lauda in the background is going to help the team much. He is a perfectionist at ensuring that the S41t goes anywhere except towards himself.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was retiring, he's been working pretty hard and remember he was rather ill some time ago when he lost stacks of weight.
60 isn't that early to retire really is it ?
Depends really. You look at Sir Frank Williams who could well have done with retiring a while back for health reasons, but he loves F1 too much for that. Maybe Haug isn't that bothered, but I don't think he would have left on his own, and certainly not in the off season, unless someone asked him to.60 isn't that early to retire really is it ?
