What technology has been banned in F1?

Apart from the obvious: active suspension, traction control, ABS?

I didn't realise CVT gearboxes were banned, or even that Williams tried to make it work. I thought it was for the likes of mopeds and Toyota hybrids.

Mclaren had a mechanism where they added a 2nd brake pedal which only affected the brakes on one side of the car, helping it to turn into corners.

They had been using it for a while when some photographer stuck his camera in and took a random photo which showed the extra brake pedal. The FIA banned it.

They use similar technology on their MP4 12c now.

The fiddle brake. People were suspicious before the photo because the inside rear brake disc was lighting up in places it shouldn't be. DC's book describes it in more detail.

Renault's mass damper was another.

Water cooled brakes, yes honestly, well that's what Brabham (I think?) called them, in reality it was just a way of dumping a load of weight from the car after the start.

The two stroke engines were in canam, not F1.

EBD (Exhaust Blown Diffuser).

Two aspects of this;
1) Exhaust exit position on bodywork - changed to make it harder to blow the diffuser
2) They ran maps that held the throttle open and retarded the ignition when off throttle, this basically pumped air through the engine and blew the diffuser. Not too dissimilar to the way anti lag works really. This was banned by implementing a rule saying that the throttle could not open dis-proportionally to the pedal position.

Until 2014 at least forced induction is banned.

They also banned venturi tunnels under the car, floor must be flat.
