Bundles of fun! Just bought an A40!

I hope this is OK to post in here. Today I bought my first tin top racer...........a 1960 Austin A40! She sure looks fun. Needs a couple of things doing before we get on the track with her (exhaust blowing is one) but I'm already looking forward to testing...I haven't raced in 4 years, and that was in Historic Formula Ford.

looks good will be lots of fun was it an original race car from those days or a recent build?

There was one recently found in a barn, a genuine 60's A40 Bevan race car that came up for sale.
Would love to know the details around how these old things can be hidden away for so long and then re-appear in much the same shape as from 40 years ago!
