If Vettel wins a 4th..
Discussion
At the end of every year since Seb has won the wdc, a fair few people have said it's down to the car/team.
So, i thought i'd start this thread so that we can rate him each race, then at the end of this season, IF he wins his 4th, we can look back over this thread to see if it was his great driving, or did the car simply out pace the rest.
How did we think he drove down under? The car clearly has pace, as seb and maaak had a '1-2' out of quali. In the race seb looked good, but not amazing. He didn't seem to just blast off and leave the pack quite so easily. To start on pole and get 3rd is ok.. and also hard to compare to Mark as he had no kers for a while.
Imo, car=8/10 Seb=7/10

You don't win 3 titles by sheer luck. The thing is that if you rate the driver you will say it is the driver. If you do not you will say it is the car, and they are lucky. In reality it is a team effort. Vettel deserves his titles. The only real dominance was 2011. The other 2 were hard fought.

The car has good one-lap pace with light fuel, but it was poor at tyre preservation and had bad pace with race fuel loads. Lotus and Mercedes both had better tyre preservation, but while Lotus had the pace, Mercedes did not. Ferrari's tyre preservation was similar to Red Bull, but their cars handled better with race loads.0
Personally, I think both Vettel and Webber did 100% with their machinery. Both Ferrari drivers and Raikkonen also did their 100%, but Ferrari had slightly better cars and better strategy, while Raikkonen was just fantastic all-round.
Since we're talking only about Vettel, and not Webber...
Vettel: 10/10
Car: 8/10
