New lap record for a TVR around Cadwell ?
Discussion
Great weekend with a class win and 3rd overall, some of these cars are running over 1000 bhp with four wheel drive and are allowed to use nitrous oxide,Brett did a 1;28.6 in the Sagaris which i know was not in a TVR race but still good for a N/A car.
Danny raced the little civic in the Civic cup series, won the first race with 20 seconds and the second race with 19 seconds.
I know its not Racing and we are very pleased that Buddy Club have sponsored our car to run in the Series for the full season and it gives us great track time to tune the car in to different circuits and get some track miles on the car.

Hi Craig
Glad the cars out and about now.
Danny holds the lap record for a Challenge race at CP anyway, but there is also a section coming for TVRs in non challenge races.

(Hi G
I notice that the LRs have been updated, though mine still appears to be missing? Rockingham Int from 2011 1m 29s.645) It's the only one I got as I won all of my races with a slower car and on old slix

Looking great Craig! I think the current Tuscan lap record at Cadwell is held by Chris Lord - not sure what it is but Steve Howard will know, I'll ask him tomorrow and report back if he knows!
Thanks Nick,The only times i can find from Chris Lord are in the 1;50's ?
How is your car coming on ?

1:50s must have been when he was racing Mazdas.. Spoke to Steve and he is going to have a look tonight. These below aren't the ones I was looking for but they give a good idea of some Tuscan times - 1min 30 by the look of things, so if you're a couple of seconds quicker then that's pretty good going out of the box!

My car is coming down to the wire; it starts, drives and stops; still lots of little bits needed to get on the grid but we should just about do it. The car I'm sure wont be *finished* by Silverstone, but it should be raceable at long last! Very much looking forward to it!

Well done Craig and the team, great to see the car out there. Even if it is not proper racing
Looking forward to some close fun racing this year in the DTEC

It's not racing i agree it's just like quallyfing, having said that it's still a timed lap around the circuit and the first time the car has been driven in anger or against the clock,
We know there is more to come from the car and driver,It was brett driving who is't as experieced as Danny and the fastest time was on the last lap.
It will be interesting to see how the road chassis compares to the challenge chassis this year.
See you at one of the DTEC rounds.

Haha, I know the feeling! I'd love a race at Snett though if one comes up... It's looking good at the moment for Silverstone but can't say just yet. It's being mapped on the 24th so we only have a couple of weeks for testing (and not long until mapping for that matter). I'm spending any spare time up at Steves helping crack through the job list, so the effort is going in - just hoping for a bit of luck that the last leg goes smoothly.
How is the Sag to drive compared to the Tuscan? Must feel like a bit of a brute I guess?

Danny said it's very easy to drive, very neutral with good grip even out of the corners (when the slicks warm up)
We are running a nice geo setup, and up to know it seems not far off the mark, no understeer or oversteer, the one thing both lads are very happy with are the brakes, the big endurance brembos with Carbon Lorraine pads are awesome.
Good luck for Silverstone be good to see you on the circuit.
