So no andy neat delayed till rd4 and no 3rd focus for caine both are reported to be out for oulton park.

Looking like rob Austin will be out looks as if the car is finished and is also making t-shirts saying help save the Sherman or something to that effect. Hoping the fords prove to be more reliable and be up the sharp end of the grid aswel as wsr bmws and with the good debut of the Passat hoping to see that in the mix aswel.

So the track should suit the the longer wheel based cars more than brands hatch so expect to see the mgs to be very strong was going to be traveling up there but change of plans so be watching it on the tv.

We'll be there. First time to Donnington and first time we're not going to be camping and staying in a hotel instead! Any tips on where to stand/park etc? smile

Several good position to stand the last chicane is a good one can see the last section of the track down to the first corner, you used to be able to go down the inside of the crainer curves but not any more. Just try out different places for the sat and decide from there. You can see quiet a bit of the action from where ever your standing.

Don't head for Donnington. I did once. Racing is at Donington.

Any idea what the gate ticket prices would be and how much there is to be saved booking in advance? From what I can find it's barely worth it.

this might sound like a crazy idea but the Donington park website would give you the info you need.

Even the circuit gets confused. They had a course car with 'donnington-park.co.uk' on it a few years back!

As for advance tickets, I always remember Donington wasn't much of a saving, after you added on postage and credit card fees. The only bonus was you had them in your hand at the door and didn't need to queue to collect or pay on the gate.

What do you mean by not being able to get down the inside of the craners? I was at the media day and was able to get everywhere I used to be able to get to apart from the half of the infield by Mcleans?

Yes looks like you can spectate from the inside of the Craner Curves, here is a picture from our website last year. You can access the infield from the tunnel in the paddock, there used to be trade stands etc. there in previous years, haven't been in person for a couple of years so I assume it's the same!

When I used to be a spectator I used to like the bank at the old hairpin and further round towards McLeans on raceday. You can see loads of the track and usually get some sort of action!

Going to try and make it this Sunday as up in Nottingham for a night out on Sat so will try and drag the misses over. Especially as I've bought my 'I helped fix sherman' Tshirt!

Hopefully some of the small issues a few teams were having have been sorted for this weekend.

Really looking forward to it.
