How was your motorsport marathon TV weekend?

I woke up at 9:30am, got up by about 10:30. Head breakfast, then settled in for the long haul.
For me it was BTCC, Porsche Supercup, Ginetta Juniors, then GP2, F1 & BTCC & Clio Cup & FFord & Ginettas then more BTCC, moto3, motoGP then about a 1 hour break to finish with the Indycar.
....or something like that!
I'm pleased to say the most exciting race was the F1 by a mile.
Most action was a toss-up between the usual protagonists Ginetta Juniors and BTCC.
Best finish was the GP2 sprint race.
Best result was Sato's first win in Indycar.
Most boring race was the moto2, by a mile.
Best performers Sato, Marquez, Stoneman, Bird, Di Resta, Hamilton.
Most disappointing performers, Button, Redding, Rossi, Ferrari.
All the while juggling the Liverpool-Chelsea game and the snooker on in the background! 13 hours of uninterrupted sport on TV. I actually feel tired, despite about 15 cups of tea and my a$$ is numb from too much sitting.
Roll on the next one!

It's quite possible that I watched too much racing yesterday, the result of which was me dreaming about winning £150 on a fruit machine and a bright green ford focus rs500.
Whether the two are linked or not, is open to debate.
I did think the F1 was absolute poo, the moto gp, result for the young lad aside was verging on the mundane, the btcc was ok, the formula ford grid doesn't seem big enough, and the Indycar was a good race, even if they do like a good pile up to bring out the yellows.

Yeah odd. You'd think he'd get more fed-up towards the end of the day with motoGP and Indycar as the fatigue starts to set in. 
The F1 was great. That and the GP2 sprint race were only times I was really on the edge of my seat.
I thought about skipping the Indycar because the stupid number of adverts on ESPN almost make it unwatchable, but with walls being on the edge of the track the SC always keeps it close. The last 20 laps are often all you need to watch. Glad I didn't as it's still one of the most entertaining forms around IMO. Helps to have a couple of good Brits in the mix too.

I managed to record the F1 and MotoGP to watch when I got home from work but my very helpful Sister cancelled my recording of the BTCC after an hour of the program starting to record some other crap. None of the races are on ITV Player so looks like I wont be watching them 
Itv run a highlights prog, usually on Tuesday after the race, which then goes up on up later on itv player 
Fair enough but it doesn't do it for me. No noise , no smell, no reality!And of course whilst you might see more of the circuit on TV what you don't see is the stuff which the cameras miss and/or the director decides to omit. Bit difficult walkig round the paddock and having a chat to people too if it 's on the box...Commentary ? Whatever. The TV one is usually recorded after the event anyway if not shown live and F1 apart the commenatry at many circuits is audible at least some of the time. You learn an awful lot more about drivers' techniques and style by being there too- esepcailly on things like gearchanging(that is on proper cars which require technique and not flappy paddles)

This.Taking the kids to Snetty for the BTCC in August. Can't wait.
