Took the Tuscan to the dyno yesterday with Steve - was looking fairly good for Silverstone and after very initial checks the engine was sounding good and strong and all was looking good. Took the car up to around 90 in 4th gear and when the dyno guy hit the roller brake there was a little clunk and the diff locked and stalled the engine. Just about the only part of the car we've not touched other than putting oil in it and its toast. Got a BTR plate diff on order from JR but won't be able to get the car dyno'd again before Silverstone so going to miss it unfortunately.
I'm quite glad it happened now and not at Silverstone but still, what a pain! Anyone want a test day at Silverstone on the 10th? I think I'll now have one going spare!

tter Nick. So close yet so far ehhh!!!!The problem isn't getting a new diff, JR has one in stock and just has to put it together and send it down - the problem is that I'm running a Syvecs ECU and its currently got a rough base map on for a 4.2 Cerbera. As Ryan from Syvecs maps cars all over the world, he has a very tight schedule and has no time to map it in time. So even if the car is mechanically ready in time, it won't be driveable.
To be honest it is probably a good idea as this car has obviously gone together from a collection of parts, and a lot of it is fabricated so there are a lot of unknowns, not least the unique suspension at the front which we'll need to get to grips with - so a bit of time to test and understand the car would really be a good idea! Also so I can get a bit of seat time!

Not quite as catastrophic an incident as yours Nick, but certainly funnier is... my car is rebuilt, repainted and all we were waiting for was the new fire system and new harnesses from Tweeks. In order to get a decent amount of discount, I added my order for new race suit, boots, gloves to the order. It all arrived via a famous worldwide parcel delivery company. Problem? Slightly damaged parcel. I say slightly. The fire system decided to test itself and deploy during transit, subsequently lathering and destroying all my nice shiny new garb. Nothing survived unfortunately. The
