Road legal wets

Proper race wets wouldn't last 2mins on dry road
This bit wouldn't be a problem as the very cunning plan was... to use them in the wet
For clarity, the idea was to use them for Nurburgring TF (hence the road legal bit) so if it wasn't saturated I'd just take them off. No risk of hurting them on a dry road.
I've really taken a liking to 'ringing 'n the rain, so much so I thought it would be a good giggle to do some of that on proper tyres.
R1R are good for what they are, but not enough of a leap over decent road tyres that I could be arse with switching them on & off.
I was assuming that somewhere in the rally world there must be proper wets that are also road legal for getting through the transport stages?

Would have thought the transport stages were just that, ie they are not timed so standard road tyres would be fine.
Yes, but there are events where immediately after exiting a competitive stage you drive a transport stage on open public roads to reach the next competitive stage. This is done without any time to stop, sometimes barely enough time to legally get to the next start. The car needs to be road legal spec while on competitive stage simply because it has to immediately go through transport stage after.I've done this kind of event, but it was in Oz. Rain wasn't an issue
