Can you take the twin choke carb out of the Peugeot 205 ??

Hi,

Ive recently bought a Peugeot 205 XR and my step dad has a Peugeot 205 XS, I've driven his XS and i really want the twin choke carb in my XR. Can you take the twin choke carb out of a Peugeot 205 XS and put it in the 205 XR or do you need to do an engine swap?

I don't know specifically, but, I would think, at the worst you may need to change the inlet manifold also.

Quite right if the engine is different, I am not familiar enough with Peugeot nomenclature to know if they use the same size engine.

The 205XS has the 1.4 TU3S engine and they really do fly! I cant remember which engine the GR has but I expect its not even a 1.4.
By the way I have a fully rebuilt TU3S twin choke engine,gearbox,and everything else,inc a car!never used.Its a long story,if your interested PM me and I will explain.
