Somebody knows something? Yes we know there's a seat available when previously not. The odds for every breathing driver on the planet will have decreased.
This shouldn't be attributed solely to Button or knowledge of a contract. The article names Button amongst 3 other drivers whose odds decreased but named Button as bait for the British readership.

Interesting that the bookies have dropped his price by so much.
You can make quite the case for it from both sides of the table, an experienced, disciplined, safe set of hands driving for a team that has won the last four* constructors titles, has a huge budget and the genius of Newey. I'd be very surprised if it happened though.

Yes i'm sure he's happy to be no.1 driver in a s**t car compared to getting regular podiums in the redbull.There would of course be other factors, length of contract, PR work, post-F1 RedBull event sponsorship etc etc

Wonder if a lot of the bets were placed from Milton Keynes and Woking?
He signed a 'multi-year' contract which was judged to be until the end of 2015. Surely he'll be hoping that the switch to development of next years car so early should give them a good car and then the Honda switch the year after will keep him at McLaren? If he leaves he'll be no. 2 and Vettel will try and dominate him and expect preferential treatment. Better to be at least even at McLaren.

The majority thought Button would have his ass handed to him by Hamilton when he went to McLaren...Button has been in F1 for a while now I wouldn't blame him for going to Red Bull for a year or two to finish his career.
Raikkonen seems the best choice if they want to field two top flight F1 stars and Kimi has a relationship with Red Bull from rallying but not sure if that is good or bad as he did crash a lot of rally cars.
Does anyone know what the relationship between Kimi and Adrian Newey was like at McLaren. If it was good then surely it is the way to go if Kimi wants it but if Adrian did not like his work attitude then it could be the key factor to Kimi never sitting in a Red Bull.

If red bull don't plan on having seb as main driver then having kimi would be a bloody strong team although probably a nightmare to deal with behind the scenes. One driver who's used to getting what he wants and another who really doesn't give a f
k, would be great to watch.I think it will go to button or riccardio as they just seem more suitable to be 2nd driver and not cost seb wins but still notch up valuable points for red bull.
Lastly what about massa? is he still going to be at ferrari next year?
I'm a huge Button fan but I can't see him in a Red Bull. He just doesn't fit the brand.
Kimi is a perfect fit in every single sense and I cannot see beyond Kimi as the replacement. A driver from TR is a gamble at this point and I've seen nothing to suggest either deserve a RB seat.
Kimi or Jenson will get you the manufacturers title and possibly the drivers too.
I suspect this is nothing more than someone placing a big bet just because the odds were too good to ignore for a driver of Jenson's ability who's in a team that appears to be going south.
Either that or the bookies drumming up so interest in another driver just so they can take the punters money rather than everyone betting on Kimi.
