Just watched an advert for Mobil with various McLaren people talking about the difference Mobil fuel makes, are they not all running the same fuel?

It is formulated for the teams, but it is a lot less "exotic" than it used to be.

same specification, not the same fuel

I'm sure the BBC did a bit a year or so ago on with Ferrari and Shell using an older F1 car they first ran 'F1 fuel' and set a lap time and the used 'regular Shell fuel' and set another time.

The lap times were very close. So either showing that regular fuel is very close to F1 fuel or Ferrari/Shell have a good marketing & PR department.
