Really? Brawn - Newey is 9-8 in Neweys favour. "everyone else" scores 4. I'd say that the OP got it pretty right...
Despite the "it's newey" view, I'm sure that he doesn't do much single handedly. IMO saying "brawn and head" is no different to "newey and team" - both have achieved great things in F1 and should be applauded, but neither has dominated to the extent that you can dismiss the other as inferior.
(all IMO, of course).

Not really imho. They do different jobs. Newey designs & builds, Brawn runs the operations, strategy (indirectly) setup etc
Would be interesting putting both in the same team. Have they ever worked at the same team at the same time ? AFAIK they haven't ?

Not as far as I know, although they both worked for Williams early on.

Brawn was at Williams in 1979. not sure when he left, but he was at the Beatrice haas team 85/86ish and Newey started at Williams in 1991 iirc.C
I think that although they may be able to design cars, their strengths lie in being able to pull the best work and the best pieces together from all their departments and get the whole thing working as one. I would also suggest that in their current positions, Newey will have more "creative input" than Brawn as Brawn now seems to be purely management.

Brawn was co-designing all of his WCC winning cars with the possible exception of the BGP01 for which he isn't listed anywhere as a designer but I've included it as he was the team principle.
The BGP001 was designed by Jörg Zander, who was formerly the chief designer at Williams and BMW, before joining Honda. He carried on when Brawn bought out the team.Interestingly, he left Brawn in June 2009, which is roughly about the time when they began losing their domination.

With all due respect to Gaz, the list is a bit... weird. For example, it lists Newey for Red Bull's creations, but fails to list Rob Marshall as chief designer and Peter Prodromou as head of aerodynamics. The list should at least be consistent across the years, instead of cherry-picking the people involved.
