In his r300 at oulton today

1 10th off fastest lap in 1st race, but he DID get fastest lap in the 2nd race!

Well done mate. Two podiums and a fastest lap in a competitive grid that's coming to the and of the season. Dans first races but they are now well dialed in

Lets hope so.

15 or so identical cars on the grid, with drivers well hooked up, it being their penultimate rounds.

Impressive indeed as they are very diferent to TVRs. I think they run road tyres too!

Thanks guys, he got 2x 2nd places, went from 5 th in qually's to lead the first race by about lap 4, led the race right up to the last corner when he got hit which sent him wide into lodge to finish 2nd by 4 hundredths Of a second, closest racing I have ever seen, 1/2 second split the first 5 cars in qually's.

Second race missed a gear and dropped back to 5th then got back up to second, red flag stopped the race and he was challenging for the lead .

Brilliant bit of video Paul, if that's from that small camera you showed me well done and thanks for posting, I only saw it from the pit lane.

Did you get any from the first race ?

Slightly OT, but does anyone know how the R300 chap who was taken away in the Air Ambulance is?. I saw his car being towed back having had its roll cage cut off.

The car was drivin by a Lady driver Flick Haigh who is recovering well in hospital with a few broken ribs and some bruising I have been informed,

Good to hear she is on the mend, it's not nice to see the air ambulance at any race meeting.

Phew, I am relieved to hear that, thanks. As you say, no one likes to see incidents of that gravity
