Not a great fan of drag racing, but I'm amazed the occupants from this standard Nissan GT-R got out and walked away from this crash. yikes

Pissing down with rain.
Badly drained.
Bumpy.
Barrier "edge" exposed
Lanes divided by cones.

Because THAT isn't going to end badly. Oh no.

I wonder if it had anything to do with when she turned the wipers on!? Why did she not turn them on before the run!?

So she wrecks the car, sits inside for a few moments & then nonchalantly gets out, without a crash helmet, clutching her handbag & a coat?????

Seriously? Apparently unhurt??

Who in their right mind would drive like that in those conditions ? Crazy if you ask me.

Surreal video.

Was not expecting a woman to get out looking like she was just about to pop into Harvey Nichols.

true watching the vid , the fishtailing seems to coincide with the wipers going on

Bonkers!!

I've seen people look more panic stricken when they have curbed a wheel!!

...Shes done that before.

As said above though - its not just her that is bonkers, that track doesnt look like the greatest idea either.

She was lucky that didn't end up like Kubica's accident or the one that killed Gareth Roberts.

My theory is it was the operation of the wipers that caused it.

The switch for the wipers on a GT-R is on the right hand side of the steering column behind the up-shift paddle.

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oyrsoSX-Rg

Both hands on the wheel, slight shift of the steering whilst trying to flick the wiper switch and away she goes.

Sort of backed up by the fact that the car goes right first then tank slaps.

Indeed.

This is worlds away from drag racing.

Might not be a privately owned car - could be a 'driver day' drag session - hence why she looked like she couldnt be less interested in the state of the car!?
