Autumn Motorsport Festival – Sunday October 13
Discussion

Now in its third year, visitors to this increasingly popular event will have a double helping of action. Competition cars from all ages will be put through their paces on the adjacent Mercedes-Benz World circuit and later in the day Test Hill will be in action. Expect to see a wide variety of competition cars from Formula 1, F5000 and GTs to touring cars and Group B rally cars. As ever, spectators will have the rare opportunity to see and hear competition cars at close quarters. All competition and classic cars welcome through the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road with public parking in The Heights off Wellington Way.
Rare FERRARI confirmed for this event:
Among the entry of interesting cars being demonstrated at Auto Italia’s Brooklands Autumn Motorsport Day on October 13th will be this rare Ferrari 1951 212 F1.
Of the two 212 F1s constructed, this example was based on a Formula 2 car and fitted with a 2.5-litre V12 engine. It has a De Dion axle while the sister car, currently part of the Schlumpf Collection, has a live axle as used on Ferrari’s other F1 and F2 cars.
The car was debuted by Dorino Serafini at the Siracusa Grand Prix in 1951 and is thought to have also been raced by Villoresi, Marzotto and Gonzales. Raced extensively during the 1950s, it was later discovered stored in Uruguay and eventually found its way into various UK, Italian and Japanese collections. Restored by DK Engineering in 2008, the car is currently owned by a UK collector.
If you have an interesting competition car and would like to take part in the activities, please apply to Phil Ward - details below.
This is a premium event, so entry charges are £12 for adults, £11 for seniors, £6 for children aged 5-16, under 5s free and a family ticket is £32.
