Live coverage on Motors TV from 23:30 on Saturday night.

I've already sorted the liquid supplies (buried in the garden, getting into the spirit of things etc) so I just need to buy salty snacks :-)

Best Motorsport weekend of the year this weekend. Bathurst Satueday night into Sunday morning, just in time for the F1 to start shortly after and then the final BTCC rounds at Brands Hatch a short while after the F1 finishes! Bring it on

Can't wait. Glad it's back on TV after having to watch a stream last year. And I don't care that it's only on Motors with non-HD pictures. You try getting another sports channel to dedicated about 10 hours of airtime to a race that isn't F1! biggrin

I have bought the enduro pack on the V8 supercars website so will get a live stream and full race replay. Hopefully going to last until 2am on the night, then will catch up with the rest on the sunday!

+1 to that

One of my top 3 races of the year - I saw it live in 2001 and have been totally hooked on V8's ever since!

And I have just had delivered a 2TB sky+ box so this year, with space for 1650 hours of SD content and 350 hours of HD content, I will be recording the whole race (and even the weekend of race events) incase I fall asleep/have to talk to anyone! bounce

Realised yesterday it's the Sunday Service this weekend also, so my name is coming off that now.

Just seen that Andy Priaulx and Matthias Ekstrom are partnering at the mountain this weekend. Could be one too watch.

I think Priaulx may have driven at Bathurst before but I wouldn't expect too much, international drivers don't typically do that well there - unfamiliar cars which aren't that easy to drive, combined with less track knowledge than the regulars.

Yes he made his debut in 2002 and has been there a few times since, but hasn't been too spectacular. Eki is a top quality driver, I'm surprised he's never been stuck in an Audi sportscar.

Supposedly the lack of experience shouldn't be an issue with the new COTF though, but we will see.

The full race is being shown on premier sports in HD on Sunday at mid day! Think I may wait for this. I always end up falling asleep by 3am! Although it does seem a shame not to be watching it live......

Difficult decision!

In celebration of its 10th birthday... Greg Murphy's "lap of the gods"
biggrin

Interestingly, Australian F3 driver Chris Gilmour set the fastest official lap record there last year:

Think I upset my sky box scheduling so much recording for the weekend now, thankyou Motors TV :-)

Someone should talk Sky into a Motorsport Package, since Sky F1 will be shunted to pay-per-view for all in the end might as well be a suitable package, I couldn't give a toss about other sports channels.

As a first time Bathurst watcher what is the snack of choice to go with the gallons of beer? It'll have to sit nice with the Sushi lined up for the F1 :-)

Brings back some good memories here too - never been there in person but its a bit of a tradition to fire up the bbq and make a day of the tv coverage with a few mates.

IIRC Lowndes lap to (eventually) beat that time was pretty special to watch too.
