A fine brace of Tuscan's you have there young man,but which to choose?
The purposeful big power Aero Chevy or the time-honoured purity of Rover V8 original scratchchin.

Both excellent, but im sometimes afflicted by strange thoughts of a big power Chevy engined Tuscan clothed in an unmodified Challenge body with 9" wheels - lots of HP but no wings/splitters.

Might be a bit of a handfull though nuts

There is a 1000bhp ls engined road registered tuscan with nitros knocking about.... it does need traction control to keep it pointing in a straight line though !!!

Darren I didn't exaggerate ( Much ) at Oulton. The Chevy is one mighty car I just can't drive it properly. I did give the no aero a try early on in it's life , it was making my eyes go into tunnel vision on the Folly straight at Combe.I have driven a few quick cars but this one is extraordinary. I will take the aero off and tone it down to race one day once I have finished playing with the aero which I find really interesting to get the car quicker without a wind tunnel.

Quite a few of us know what the near original Rover feels like and by far my favourite car. I just don't understand why Andy sold his, odd decision. I'm looking forward to both cars although the Rover will be on road tyres for most of it's races. I will be racing both cars at the same meeting at Combe in mid July , that should be fun swopping from the Chevy to the rover again. I did it last year and won the GT race coming 7th in the Rover with Phil sharing the duty's .

It feels good to have the Rover finished been prepped this early, now I can concentrate on the Chevy which is having some engine work done to it.Plus more aero upgrades well a flat floor mainly.

How is everyone getting on in the garages then ? Ntel is obviously getting well stuck in

Anything north of 450 BHP is big power from where I'm sitting (which is behind an original Challenge spec 4.5 AJP usually) biggrin

Ah well, the humble LS is at least 100Hp up on that, and no wings and other sticky-on bits smile Not even air-filter holes in the bonnet.

Not great... After the Tuscan's diff exploded on the dyno in spectacular style back in summer I got a new one on order and then decided to focus on getting my Chimaera back on the road. A body off and a complete engine rebuild later with a few modifications to up the power its pretty much finished. I'm told the new diff is in the Tuscan, though it still needs the engine building and a load of other stuff doing though so think it may be some time before the yellow beast turns a wheel. Anyone want to buy it? lol

what's happening in my garage!
car in pieces, stripped body and panels at the sprayers, engine being refreshed, diff and sequential gone off to be refreshed, Ohlins off for refurb, bigger fuel tank being made, wheels being refurbed, driver will be on a diet soon but not yet, its been a very wet January and I don't mean rain. drink
red one is spannered and gleaming race ready for its new owner! just not sure who that is at the moment,

Spent most of yesterday stripping the car for a well overdue respray. Wheels to go for crack testing and painting set by set too. Dieting and no alcohol for the whole of Q1 - lost 10 lbs so far and not a drop has passed my lips since NYE! winkbiggrin
