Hello all,

8 of us have booked up for the first round of the BTCC at Brands in March. We've decided to camp so can have a good weekend of it on the beers/BBQ.

Any one got any experience of Camping at Brands, it'll be a first time for us all. Tips/advice?

Anyone else doing the same?

It hit minus figures overnight when I camped for the first round, take lots of warm stuff. It seems obvious but it's easy to underestimate how bloody cold it gets.

Cold , they provide toilets/showers and in the evening the pub/restaraunt at the track is open.

Decent indian restaurant a mile away, the walk back will keep you warm.

Thanks for your advice folks, I'll be sure to bring my thermals!

Are there many others that choose to camp? Will it be busy in the camping area, wise to arrive early to set up a good pitch etc? Cheers.

With amount if rain we've had of late, I'd be looking at taking some additional cheap waterproof groundsheets to bin after use.
It became quite a quagmire at the last race in October and I don't think it's stopped raining since.

Could not agree more.

Also, having spent the last 3 years up the there most weekends I would suggest some cheap'ish wind breaks to go around tents etc. for some odd reason they have the camping areas for major events very exposed.
