DTM 2014 coverage

Was wondering if anyone knows who will be showing the DTM in the UK this year? I think it was ITV3 who showed highlights last year but don't know who has the rights this year.

I know ESPN had the live coverage, until they went belly up. However, YouTube has a channel, and they have carried qualifying and race both live. You can still watch these.

One of the reasons the DTM no longer comes to the UK is because there wasn't a proper UK TV deal - I presume they wanted one of the main FTA channels to cover it. Which was never going to happen.

As for this year - I haven't read/ heard anything.

The YouTube coverage was pretty good last season, and with the increase of smart TV's it's probably easier to watch than other Motorsport.

A very good friend of mine is currently organising us a trip to Nurburgring for DTM

ESPN did not go belly up, it is still broadcasting under the BT Sport package. It now specialises in foreign (mainly US) sports coverage.

They were still showing DTM for the whole of the 2013 season however, no news as yet on the upcoming 2014 season.

I will keep a weather eye out and let you know if any info comes my way.

Subscribe to the official DTM Youtube channel, and it shows up on your list

Got to say I never bothered with DTM until I saw it on Youtube last year. Maybe more championships like Indycar need to be doing stuff like this for the international market?
