Off to Monaco on Friday for the Historic GP and I'm sure I read somewhere that there is pit lane access on the Friday. I cannot for the life of me remember where I saw this though and after several searches have come up with nothing. Was I imagining this or is it open and if so what time?

Thanks! smile

The paddocks were open to the general public on the Friday when I attended (2008 admittedly). I'm not sure about the pit lane though. The event now features practice sessions on the Friday afternoon so it may just be open in the morning. Must say that spending a couple of hours in the sunshine walking the harbour-front paddock at the Historique remains one of the all-time highlights of my motor racing life. Just a blissful existence. Enjoy!

Live Qualifying has been on Motors tv all day. Gentleman racers, pro drivers, ancient metal, skinny tyres makes for red flags in every session but what glorious cars they are.

All shapes and sizes there, I feel they are holding back so as not to dislodge all their gopro cameras.

What a fabulous 3 days. Amazing value for 40 Euros and to think in 2 weeks time someone will have paid 480 Euros to park their bottom on the same seat!! Roll on 2016 :-)

I was (am still) there too!

Will be back in 2 weeks for the GP but in some ways I'm looking forward to the next Historic GP in 2yrs more than that!

Really fantastic day and the place was full of people who know who they are rather than trying too hard!
