Oddly I was thinking about watching Maverick last night. Sad but he'd had a good innings, we should all be so lucky.

Showing the film would be a good tribute. Bet they pull it and put on Antiques Roadshow instead so as not to cause offence to anyone. (Not that it would anyway. But as the BBC is run by oversensitive lefty cretins...)

I watched the movie today on bbc2 , first tome in years .
it was made in the year I was born....

Probably hadn't seen that he died.

Remember this is the organisation whose employees are quite happy to go through an airplane crash site and pick up items to show the camera! (SkyNews did it as well!)

I bought the DVD when it first came out. The atmosphere is what it is all about - paddocks on grass, pretty girls in mini-skirts, etc etc.
