Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good timing system for track use that won't break the bank. I'm only using it for TD's and not racing so I'm not looking for something in the ,000s, and yep I know we are not meant to time, but everyone does it.

I've tried Harry's phone app but it's too unreliable with the Samsung S5.

Thanks in advance,
Ben

Realistically, you need a GPS timer and the best VFM one available currently is the AIM Solo.

You're not supposed to time on trackdays though. wink

There's Race Chronos for android as well. Free but I believe you may need to create the tracks first using the map/GPS on the app.

I use a racelogic performancebox - very pleased with it, use the data on it to create overlays like this:

Cheers chaps, for my budget the Aim Solo looks spot on.
