I did a search, couldn't find an answer to this

Coming around London, what's the best route up to the GP, and how long should I allow from the M25, assuming I want to arrive a couple of hours before the race? Legal speeds, kiddie in car...

Cheers

The road improvements have made a massive (positive) difference. Last year we were parking up just 25 mins after leaving the M40 at Banbury, with hardly any queueing whatsoever although this was at 9.00 rather than the mid morning you refer to. You'll be coming off at the junction before (Bicester). I'd plan to get there a little earlier and allow 90 mins from M25 to park up to be on safe side.

we drive from south east london, and use the blackwall tunnel, (making sure its not shut for building work etc). we always leave at an obscenely early time 5/6am ish. thats the only way to beat the traffic. i would have thought leaving that late would be a no-no. get there early and soak it all up!

Thanks, I'll follow the advice to set off as early as a 7-yr old motorsport fan will allow
