F1-watch TV, listen to radio?

So what is the best way to avoid listening to James Allen?

I know that if i sit down to watch the GP I 'll end up switching off because I cannot stand Allen for more than 10 seconds.

Have radio 5 live on and turn the TV down?

Does anyones else do this?
