After another entertaining day's racing at Snett, here's a few of the photos I took.

Scuffham, it was going so well! What cooked? I happened to be stood in the adjacent garage to yours when you came in to retire. Didn't think it was the best time to introduce myself...

Henry F, good run from what I could see. The 'Pieman' Pete went well too. Good scrap with those plastic V8 things ;)

d_drinks & Aviator, another race at Snett, another Mantis smoking at the end! Silver car went like stink though. Great to watch.

Nutskie...another strong drive from Bo and especially Calum. That poor 360 is really looking a bit second hand now!

Evoblade. That BeeEm looks superb. What was the delay in the pits for?

Britsports pics for JonathanHawkins and 600

Jonathan, got your car on the end of a towrope again I'm afraid! Was at the Esses when Keith went wide. Cause of failure?

600. So it wasn't a great day for the PH Britsports contingent was it? You guys were running well up, what went wrong?

A very bad day....the cam chain snapped causing probably substantial damage....but we'll have to wait and see what the verdict is when is stripped....Oulton is off for us. Great photo's again...thanks. We were having a good race until that point - very enjoyable apart from the bizarre safety car behaviour....four cars racing for position and the safety car waved the first two through and then let the following two (of which I was one) through a lap and a half later....still not that it really mattered at the end of the day!

That's too bad Jonathan. Hope you get it sorted out soon. There seems to be a general consensus on the EERC forum that safety car procedures and some driving standards in the Britcar race were out of order(again). They need to get that sorted out quickly before someone (driver, marshall) gets hurt. A shame really as it spoils a good race for spectators as well as competitors.

Should have said hello, I don't bite! (even when somewhat miffed off )

our downfall was a cooked tripode joint, the boot failed and sprayed it's grease all over the place.

whilst we were never going to win it, we were slowly working our way up the order, we were working towards a 4 or 5th overall finnish.

Some more work required before Oulton and more importantly, the 24H

Terrible weekend for us. Suffered from all sorts of part quality problems with diffs and driveshafts. The long delay in the pits was to fit a new driveshaft. The worst thing was after all that, we just went out for a laugh, and suffered a wheel centre failure out of the bomb hole putting the lovely car into the tyre wall. Lots of damage, but no one hurt thank goodness. Ed was driving at the time, but I had only just got out 2 laps earlier! I started also, and just missed getting taken out by the Cole ferrari. If you look at the pictures on eerc, there is inches between the rear of my car and that ferrari. So - I cheated a big moment twice!!! To top it all off, we did a track evening there in my Stradale for a bit of fun and to get some laps under my belt, and that broke down as well and had to be taken away!!! ARRAGGGHHHH!!!!

Lots to sort out, but it definitely is getting there.

OK, I'll remember that next I'm strolling past a smoky yellow Lotus! Chris was looking really good in his (very long) stint and I'm guessing you didn't get too much time in the car before it packed up? Should be a good car for Oulton though.

BTW, love the 'Heath Robinson' splitter fix...

Sounds like an expensive weekend to me! BeeEm's looking very promising with the lap times not a million miles away from the Leslie/Handkammer car. Looking forward to Oulton.

Thanks trackside some great pictures again covering the race. We had a good time out at Snet this weekend esp compared to our last visit there with a double DNF for the Marcos The blue car managed to lose 4 cylinders somewhere along the way - we're still looking for them, if anyone noticed them around the track - The Silver car was as you say flying, the safety car did us no favors by not picking us up mind. That needs to be worked on . To be 44secs off 1st after 3hrs shows that the car has the pace we just need the luck back!

Great pics again trackside..No is wasn't a good day for us at all! We were running in a comfortable 2nd in class for pretty much the whole race until the engine let go 10 mins before the end!(not sure what the damage is yet as it hasn't been stripped down) ...even more annoying- the class leader retired shortly afterwards, so it would have been a win! Oh well thats racing - who's coming to Oulton Park?

Great shot of synchronized chimping in the second mosler photo.

Were you there with a team, Trackside?

Yeah, I thought that when I first looked at it. Made me chuckle to think that the pro-snappers were 'asleep' when Kershaw was giving it some amps out of Russell. I'm sure that comment'll come back and bite me...

No, just Mrs Trackside! We make a great team

Thanks for everyones kind comments again. I'm glad you seem to enjoy looking at my pics as much as I enjoy taking and posting them. I'm sure if I was out there racing, I'd be chuffed to see myself on screen too.

Roll on Oulton Park!

Wow - some stunning shots, and I thought I`d pretty much seen all there was to be photographed there. You seem to find slightly different angles or positions from the "standard" shots most people use. You also manage to get right into the action. A stunning shot of our car inside the green Marcos at Corum (I think). Thought it was cool enough and then noticed a third car lurking right on the outside of the corner ! Not sure what it is though, black wings, possibly David Back`s Ferrari. Awsome. I do hope you`ll be at the 24hour event !!

All the best - Henry

Glad you liked them Henry. That is in fact the inside of Riches and that is Back's ferrari on the outside (Corum would be from the outside). A few 'media' photographers visited there during the day so other photos might get posted. I should be at the 24hr'er and the visit on 10th August. See you there.

Checked (not that photo) and it was actually David Back at the wheel.
